Where does the vacuum hose connect to - intake? On the FZR250 there’s two inlet hoses from the fuel tank(reserve and normal) and one outlet to the filter then pump then carbs. There’s only those 3.

This has happened to me before. Different bike, but same issues.

The charge system not only charges the battery, but also powers all of the electronics on the bike while running. If the charge system fails, the battery will take over until its dead flat. Once the battery is flat, its game over.

Is is possible that the charging system works at idle, providing just enough to keep the battery charged and the bike running. Once on the road however, it may not cut the mustard.

I'd be doing a full diagnostic of the charge system. In my case, the regulator rectifier had died.
