So i turn 25 in a couple of weeks and i thought what better way to celebrate a quarter of a century than to go for a ride on some twisties. I was thinking down to cunungra pub for lunch and then back up through tamborine. I really hope some of you can make it. Will be leaving from springwood macca's at about 9ish. Here is a map of the route i was thinking but it may change. Hope you can make it, let me know if your keen.
6 bikes, 6 riders and 225kms of fun and twisties, great to see Tomo, Yong ,(and jay on R6) and Slender on the ride. We ended up in Canungra a bit early, so we hit the road and stopped for a bite to eat at the Railway Hotel in Beaudesert. Heres a few pics of the day Cheers Chris
thanks slender for organising today and thanks chris, phil, yong and jason for comming along. had a wicked day.
Yup heaps of fun, thanks again everyone. The general feedback was my "standard" exhaust was a tad loud and truth be told, the time until olice: pulled me over was inching closer. My daughter is off schoool sick today, so why she was sleeping, Phil and I decied to address the richness and exhaust issue, we stripped the set of carbies off the donor bike, cleaned them then fitted them as well as fitting the donor exhaust to my blue bike. Its taken some of the mongrel out of the ride, but has improved the bike out of mind. While digging though the parts box with the donor bike, we found 2 sets of brand new sintered brake pads, so on they went as well. Happy ... you better bloody believe it Edit - I had a look down the old exhaust can and found 6 extra 12mm holes drilled in the exhaust, hence the "slightly louder note
Sundays ride was great in so many ways, 1st and foremost it was Slenders birthday and what better way than to go for a ride. We got together at Springwood before heading off. To Len, tomo, yong, jason and Chris many thanks for a really good outing. All the bikes performed well and got us all home safely. Hope to see you all on the next ride and hopefully a few more. Thanks again fellas, I enjoyed it. Phil
