    Neither a Borrower nor Lender Be. <!-- s:neutral: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_neutral.gif" alt=":neutral:" title="Neutral" /><!-- s:neutral: -->

    I'm very selective as to who I let ride my bike and inversely I'm very selective about who's bike I ride. I feel if I cannot afford to repair or replace anything I break on anothers bike, then I do not ride it.

    This doesn't hold true at a Dealership for Test rides. <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_roll.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling LoL" /><!-- s:roll: -->

    I agree with tim - I don't lend or ride other peoples bike as 'normal course'. I need to know and trust the rider. And I don't generally ride other peoples bikes.

    I have a village motorbike <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> any one can use it as long as

    A) Leve a $500 deposit and sign a pice of paper saying they are going to buy it if they damage it...

    B) They leve their bike IN my garage... (and IT is worth $1500+) and sign a pice of paper saying I get to keep their bike till they pay for the bike/repairs

    With this system I let out the bike almost every week!! If they are renting it out without me doing any work on their bikes.... $5 a day weekday or $20 whole weekend...

    I have only let two people ride my bike.

    One was when I didn’t have a license and they rode it home from the workshop and the other was Casso and his bike spent the night in my garage.

    I choose very carefully the people I let near my bike. I don’t let non rider / inexperienced types to even sit on it unless I am standing next to it.
