Hi all Does anyone have any ideas how to get around the "prohibited item for international shipping" when trying to buy something on buyee? It is only a RH switch assy and throttle (inc cables) so I have no idea why it would be prohibited. The only reason I want it is for the push / pull cables that are no longer available ... seems almost everything I look at on there is prohibited for shipping. Am I doing something wrong?
They knocked me back on a set of used ohlins shocks for the zeal. Probably to do with the oil in them I'd say. They also won't ship carbs, but I don't know the reason. I cannot see any reason why switch blocks would be prohibited. Though I have got warnings on items because the seller's name contains the word "junk" even though I had no trouble buying them and getting them shipped. If anyone finds a way to get carbies from yahoo japan shipped here I would be very interested to know about it.
I have challenged their ruling... explaining in detail what the part is and they are re-checking with their people... almost everything I looked at was "prohibited" lol
Many thanks.. at least some of the items I am interested in are not blocked through them... Seems to be easier to navigate then Buyee as well.. I will see when I bid later today I guess.
Well... Buyee were no help at all... so I scrubbed them... but JAUCE.... well plenty of gear I want... some I need So far I have Won auctions for 3 items that you just cannot get here... and I needed at least one of them.. I also found while scouring that Japan had a later model (1991) SRX250 with designation 3WP which has slightly revised bodywork and seat... Instruments used are from SRX400 (Won an auction for a set) and a disc brake rear plus 17 inch wheels front and rear... I also found importmonster.com.au who are similar but are much more Automotive oriented... even to the point they are looking at being able to source and import bikes to Aus... there are some interesting bikes up for sale...
