just about ready for blasting, just waiting on my oil tank so i can make brackets up for it. i'm going to use an oil catch can for a car as my oil tank i think it will work well and look good.

Coming along nicely. I see you went for the frame brace, way to go.
You could hinge the seat and make a sort of flatter oil tank underneath it. Depends where the battery etc are going to sit. Buy some 2 mm sheet aluminium and cut and bend yourself. Then take to local TIG welding place to weld it up. Test for leaks by pressurising at 5psi and use a soapy brush to look for bubbles. Sorry I can't help myself. I have a weak spot for these old bikes.

i know its not a 250 but on the topic of cafe racer/street fighter i'll show you guys my daily rider, it started out as a 04 hyosung gt650 and it hasn't looked the same for longer that 3 months at a time from the day i got it. i dont have a nice pic of it with the twin pipe's but you get the idea.

i turn a lot of head's with this bike and i hope to do the same with the gt when i'm done with it :)

oh yeah and steering damper, i got this damper about 3 years ago for like 15bux its the stock damper off a 05 gsxr from memory and i extended the full lock stopper so the clip on's wouldn't hit the tank and damper wouldn't bottom out.
