i think ticking usually is something to do with your Valve timing or something.

Is it missing, or just low in power, or not rev out???

Did you check that the EXUP valve opens when you rev the engine?

    MOST LIKELY ANSWERS

Ticking under the tank - fuel pump

Buzzing exhaust at 6000rpm - EXUP looseness

Some one recently had issues with loss of power at high revs and battery failures - turned out to be faulty RECTIFIER/REGULATOR. There is something to consider... Disconnect your three alternator leads and go for a short run, don't go too far as the battery might go flat very quickly.

i dont think its a battery problem as i had to go through all of that a few months ago and it was all working perfectly. its not running the battery down fast or anything. it just has low power and buzzing/tapping noise.

i spoke to a mate of mech mate of mine yesterday and he said it could be that the carbs need refloating but i dont know how to do that..
and i didnt think that would let it run at all...

and i cant get the exup cover off because the bolts are quite rusted. i proberly could with some force but dont know how easly breakable the unit is and dont want to risk it. the cables seem ok though.

The worst that can happen if the cover bolts break is that you wont have a cover. Mine never had one on it when I bought it. Won't cause any a real problem..
