Hi, The general importer for Mikuni Spare parts in my country is not able to get parts for the Mikuni BDS26 Carb, which is build in the 2KR Models. Maybe the licences for this old carbtype was sold whatever... So, cause the OEM Prices were exorbitant expensive, i was looking for cheaper alternatives (like parts directly from Mikuni etc.) So, the Hyosung GT250 has a Double BDS26 Carburetor. In technical sheeds i saw, tha they are the same, except the Nozzels (float nozzles should be the same). Also the Diaphragms, sealings, etc. are the same. The Prices are about 1/4 or less of the OEM Yamaha Prices, and are a good alternative. (e.g. a Diaphragm from Yamaha ~200€, from Hyosung ~40€) I hope this could help all guys with Carb-problems who have an FZR250 2KR. i need an update on this please. I am looking for diaphragms for my 2kr as well. can anyone point me out in the right direction? all the canadian distributors dont carry bds26 diaphragms.
just did some research, and found the diaphragm PN from hyosung is 13338HG5100. can anyone confirm if this will fit on my 2kr? the parts are a little pricey, i dont want to commit and buy 4 of them when they wont even work with the 2kr.

I found someone in the UK that can get me the diaphragms. He's asking for some measurements but I don't have the bike with me as of right now, and I probably wont have the time to open her up and make measurements. Hopefully one of you 2kr guys have yours carbs open, and if so could you possibly do me a favor and measure: Outside diameter of the groove in the top of the carb body Diameter of the carb slide Confirmation that there is a jet in the outer edge of the diaphragm [set in the carb top groove] Much appreciated. This could really help anyone else looking to do some carb work on their 2kr.
