Raced there before?
No, only been as official.
I guess you'll take the Murdomobile?
I saw this at Bunnings the other day. Too high at the back for bike storage and no easy access option for a bike. Has a tow bar, but that defeats the point of a single vehicle for transport and accommodation. Not sure it's 100% roadworthy, but I'll let the owner and the cops worry about that.
I made it to the 'very country' meeting. Saturday saw me do about 20 runs, but the timers only worked for five of them. Running in low 10's, but had no speed printout.
Only other bike was a local on a Victory cruiser, and about a dozen cars, so quite a poor turnout.
Sunday saw a few more cars and one other bike (GSX1100R) but I think the club may not break even $ wise. Spectators were a bit thin too.
Ran the Victory in semi final (breakout) and got too excited against the GSX in the final and red lit.
Pretty ordinary start line too (rough tar).
And they let things like this run?????? (supercharged Commodore V6 in 1964 Toyota Stout).
I wont go into all the things wrong, but most was held together with zippy ties.
Bugger! That's the weekend before the Willowbank bike day. Don't know if I can travel that far two weekends in a row.
Double Bugger. I too, am unable to attend due to previous commitments. Shame, there were a lot of bikes at this thing last year.
Might wander up the hills for that one. Have just finished cleaning and polishing my CBR for the VJMC street show this Sunday.
Good luck Bud.
Took my friend Peter (who bought my CBR250 MC-19 last year) with his bike and mine on the trailer. Bikes there included two CBR250's, CBR1000, Victory cruiser, GSX1100, BMW R1200RS.
Early morning start but got there in plenty of time. Bikes ready to go and a sprinkle of rain but soon blew away with the wind. Nobody did any good times due to wind (the aerodrome windsock was flapping straight out) and another shower called a halt for a while. Got into mid 10's was my best. Pete did low 11's and had a grin a mile wide. Pete got ran out by the BMW in first round and I got run out by the Victory in first as well. Good fun had by all.
Good effort guys. A few more bikes than last year too. Sounds like we might see Pete at the next Gunnedah race.
I'm sure we will.
Umm...I might do this. Any thoughts @Murdo or @GreyImport
Can be arranged.
I will give you a buzz in a week or so to discuss options.
Casino last weekend ...
Were did you get those pics from? I can't believe they had a meeting given the rain during the week and Saturday.
From Facebook ... from wat I can see they had a ton of cars there too
