    Hi riders & wrenchers.

    Greetings from the UK!

Just bought some quality clutch plates, traction plates & new springs, to replace the worn out sets.

On removing the pressure 4 spring bolts in stages I then spun off the holding nut and 2 washers.
I expected the whole clutch assembly to slide out and sadly they’re seriously stuck?

Is there a knack to withdrawing the pressure plate and all the clutch plates?

I really don’t know how to remove the assembly?

Here is a parts diagram that will show the parts.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

This photos shows the thrust bearing and bolts are still in place.
They’ve been removed with the middle nut and 2 washers.

I just expected the clutch pressure plate & clutch plates to slide out.
    They’re seriously stuck.

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated guys.

    Many thanks

Use two flat blade screwdrivers on opposite sides to gently seperate the plates and it will all come off.

Plates are stuck together and also sticking to the pressure plate. Could also be stuck on the gearbox shaft splines. Murdo has the right idea.

    Hi Murdo, Linkin
    riders & wrenchers.

Greetings from a very wet and windy UK!
    Roll on Summer guys.

Good news the 2 screwdriver tip worked on the removal of pre soaked WD40 clutch pressure plate.
    MANY THANKS!

The lubrication of WD40 helped make each surface slide and using the screwdrivers opposite each other worked perfectly.

I’ve now changed the worn clutch plates. They certainly needed servicing.

A big thank you Murdo & Linkin.

    Best regards

    Hog
