*sigh* It's time to accept that fact that my busted-ass back doesn't like this bike. Even 10 k's is enough to see me hobbling around like a walking S-bend for the rest of the day. So, I have to sell the MC 22. 1990 (unrestricted) model Less than 12 200 k's. (Bike was in storage until I found it and got it back on the road.) Tyga body kit Brand new Pirelli Sport Demon Radials (less than 50 k's on them). Not shown in photo. Tinted screen Adjustable SDR shorty levers Musarri muffler with removable baffle. LED indicators New fork seals Starts, runs, rides perfectly. Registered until 15 Feb 2017. Asking $3000 but will take 10% off for anyone from here (or the MC22 riders FB page)
You might actually be on a winner there @GreyImport . Spoke to the doc this morning and he says he may have a solution for me so I'm not selling now. I would delete this post but I can't see how; maybe admin can help? Thanks for the tip
I can delete the thread for you My advice comes from 25 years of injuries/pain and dealing with them .... I guess Im lucky that riding hunched over on the FZR actually works for me ..... but I had a major degenerative thing in my neck/spine a few years back and the chiro fixed it 99% .... and believe me Ive had every treatment and rehab method that exists
Dr Neil Brodie is a great Chiro in Perth... look him up. Not all Chiro's are good... http://www.perthwellness.com.au/neil-brodie-chiropractor/
Aint that the truth... and its different for different people... I am still looking for an older Chiro without a drop table or clicker... they do nothing for me...
I once went to a younger Chiro who did a full spinal x-ray and wanted 13 visits to fix my problem. I went to another more "old school" chiro and 2 visits later I was fixed.
some people prefer osteopaths to chiropractors and vice versa - I massaged for 3 years for a guy who was both, which is supposed to be impossible because they're incompatible in some of their teaching - we got the job done
So, I've just come back from getting x-rays and it turns out I have a deformed L5 vertebra, which is a form of mild Spina Bifida. It's missing part of the anterior (back) of the bone and what bone there is is shaped like a downward pointing arrow. Given an impact or lifting a heavy weight at the wrong angle makes the vertebra spear into the disc. I had a doctor tell me years ago to avoid vertical impact (like every bloody sport in the world! including running!) but he never properly explained why. Knowing that, it turns out it's not the bike that causes problems but the fact that I lift the front of my boat trailer when I move it out of the way to get my bike out.(LOL, now I'm think of "The castle" - "Can you move the gemini so I can get the Commodore out of the way of the ute?") I've got to do some exercises to strengthen my core without doing any lifting, and get a better jockey wheel for the trailer so I can stop lifting it and just push it instead. But the medics were all certain that the bike wasn't causing the problem, so that's good news
LOL! I've just notice my ad called the new tyres 'Pirelli'. Of course, they are Michelin, not Pirelli
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Mate, if I told my wife we weren't going fishing any more she'd bloody stab me and I wouldn't have to worry about my back
