I had a bit of a tick noise at low revs when going uphill, though it may only be because i can't hear it at high revs... it's a low pitched "clock, clock" noise like something is hitting against something.

I thought it was the suspension so i adjusted it from 4 to 7, no difference. Still a noise.

I tightened the chain but the noise is still there. It's coming from the back of the bike I think, under my bumb, maybe even the left side, I can feel the vibration when it happens ever so slightly.

I checked the back sproket and I can't see anything, looked very closely when rolling the bike, can't locate anything.

My concern is something else though now, after adjusting the chain, I looked at how close the tyre is to the chain guard, and it's not that far off. The markers on both sides of the swing arm are exact.

The ticking might be the EXUP, who knows. It's starting to annoy me. The noise is like when you put the hand brake on in a car, a deep low clock noise.

How close is the tyre from your chain guard?

Ooooh ooh, i think i know this one! ;)

Check the links on the outer side of the chain; do any of them look decidedly cleaner or like new metal as opposed to the rest of the chain?
If Yes, could be that your chain and sprockets need replacing as the front sprocket after a while tends to wear and allow more horizontal movement in the chain... meaning that it will clip the inside of where the left peg attaches to the bike.

You'll need the hex tool to take off the left foot peg, but just check the back of that incase its seriously rubbing. Mine does that occasionally... but im due for new sprockets & chain in about a month or so (along with a new front tyre... and the list goes on ;)
