Ok mister Fear the first thing you need to do is measure how far the tubes come out of the triple clamp.

then unscreww the fork tube caps the release all the oil from the little screw at the bottom.

losen up all the bolts from the triple clamp that is holding the forks then take it out.

after the tube is out there is a bult that holds the damper rod in the fork you must unscrew this to seperate the fork tub from the fork leg.

you can try releasing it before taking out the fork.

i have to go so when you got that done you can let me know

    fork seals

Here how I do fork seals in my shop
I have a small machine shop
jack up the front under the engine
remove front wheel and fender (mud guard)
    open tops of forks
loosen triple clamp bolts and remove forks
drain forks (turn em over in a container to let them drain
    remove proload spacers and springs before hand... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
use air gun (impact wrench) with appropriate allen driver to remove damper rod bolt in bottom of fork
remove dust cover and circlip...hole upper and lower and pull apart
no need to pry the seal out and bugger the fork....
clean out well...slide new seal on and use driver (split driver .... I make my own) to seat new seal. install circlip and dust seal and reinstall damper rod with the bolt in the bottom.(don't forget the copper washer or it'll leak) and use the air wrench to tighten it all up. sometimes I have to hold the damper rod with the end of a broomstick to get it to tighten but that's very rare with a air wrench

reinstall the springs, new oil, preload spacers and reinstall the forks in the tripls clamps and THEN put the caps back on....Much easier to put the caps on the forks if they are bolted into the triple clamp

Pretty easy in all just have what you need handy and work at your own pace so as not to get frustrated with it
put it all together adn ride over to your m8's for a beer
