    We are planning a club Tasmania trip. The trip will be 7 nights departing on the overnight ferry to Devonport 6pm Saturday 15th Feb 2020. We return on the Friday night ferry arriving in Melbourne at 6:30am Saturday 22nd Feb 2020.

    Cost is approx $900 which includes accommodation and Spirit of Tasmania fees for you and your bike, but does not include food or fuel. The whole trip will be approx 1600 kms so you'll need to be comfortable in the saddle. We will not have a support vehicle so everything you need has to fit on your bike. Accommodation will provide all bedding and towels. We will require deposits of $500 by end of June to secure our spots on the ferry and the accommodation. Proposed route is in the image below, we're going to try and do most of the island but it is a big ride.

    Open to people here if they are interested - please contact me directly via the club email which you can find on the website http://club250cc.wixsite.com/club250 as I'm not around the forum much anymore. You will need to find your own way to Melbourne with your bike to the departure location however.

    @Frankster if you're keen.

    I'm in. I'll probably meet you guys at Devonport. Most of the bike riders who come off the Spirit of Tasmania pull over at the Dockside Cafe on Murray Street as you come out of the terminal. That itinerary looks good, but might not leave the group a lot of sight seeing time as you'll be riding a lot. The trip from Strahan, through the mountains is slowish in spots.

    Cafe details for all you facebook folks & some promo/ideas PDF.

    I was looking at a Tassy trip just yesterday or Friday, but I was thinking of taking a mountain bike and doing that... More choices.

    I see comments about long trip, not much time to sightsee. It's 270km/day. That doesn't seem like much, especially after doing the 1500km in 3 days last year, or the 2000km each way for me to get there. Or do I combine both trip ideas?....

    Wow, looks like a great trip! Excellent video as well, congratulations. Excellent timing as well. Would have been a different story a couple of months later.
