It appears my clutch pushrod is extremely rare, and I cant seem to find anyone that has one. Its a very long single-piece unit that is fatter in the middle but thins out to pass through to the clutch actuator, and has a threaded end at the clutch end. It appears it was used in others as well, like late 70s 450s etc. the OEM is 23100-44101 or 23100-44001 and has been discontinued by SGP. If ANYONE can help me out that would be great, I have some local SA wreckers hunting it down for me too.

    Cheers!

Chain came off and bent/broke it. All sorted though!!! I just rang MickHone (thanks Chris) and they were the only guys to tell me that Suzuki superseded the long pushrod for a reason: should the pushrod become damaged, the whole clutch needed to be taken out to replace it (exactly what happened to me) Now they have the two parts so I can slip in a new rod by removing only the left cover. Was beginning to stress there for a while!

That definitely sounds like a plan in the near future. Ive only just got my L's, bought my first bike, and 20km into my FIRST RIDE it let go!! So I'll get a few more kms under my belt first, then I'll be ready to mix it up with my fellow GSXers! Cheers
