I wanted to pass on a tip about repairing broken fairings, recently I bought a ZZR250 with a busted fairing and a small section near the break was missing. I could have had it plastic welded, but that costs alot of coin, so I tried Qbond adhesive. ( thanks Chris Dupen from Netbikes for the tip)

Its a 2 stage process whereby you apply the powder to the cracked area, then apply the liquid on top,  this stuff sets in about 10 seconds and is extremely strong.  I paid $30 for a very small amount from Repco, but my ZZR fairing is now sorted, just needs a sand and some paint.

    Thanks

Has anyone a go with this product? sounds like it might be a good alternative to P/Welding?

    Hey Trev

I have used it on a few panels in the past, generally it works really well for simple plastic breaks or re-attaching posts from side covers, but you have to sand and repaint after using it.  Plastic welding is still a better option, IMO.  Will posts some before and after pics next time I use it.
