Jeesh Raaqi; us FZR riders are getting a bad reputation as being the new VFR's (ie. THE bike to crash).
What with you and SOBIL sending his wayward under a car...
Glad to hear your ok; sounds like the gear did it's job well.

Now here comes the tricky bit, not beating yourself up too much as you can't figure out what you did wrong.
Same thing happened to me on my off up in the hills - was only going ~1/2 to 2/3 the speed i normally do as i was riding by myself and the roads weren't wonderful.. then slip, out comes the rear tyre from under me (fully scrubbed in @ 70% tread).

Good to hear you've already started making arrangements for getting her back on the road. I was gluing, sanding & bogging the day after my accident. The day after that i was in a doctors surgery after finding out i had torn a muscle away from my spine and caused internal bleeding. <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->

The amusing thing was that i didn't actually do that damage from coming off the bike; it was the adrenaline pumping through me to deal with the pain that allowed me to pull the bike out of the ditch and back up onto the road that actually did the damage!

Glad to hear that you are OK! I couldn't read the post on the 250 forum without registering and I couldn't be bothered - but the pics seem to tell alot.
