Hey all my son has a Hunter Bobber 250
It has a short currently that is effecting the indicators. There is power running directly throughout the black wire to the flasher unit which is causing the headlight to flash rather than the indicators.
Does anyone have any ideas or has had a similar problem help would be appreciated...

Does the headlight flash when u turn on the indicators only? .... and is it just the left or right or both sets of indicators dont work?

Has the wiring been changed /tampered with? ... has something been connected incorrectly?

Is there any damage, kinks , worn thru from rubbing , broken wiring or dirty or corroded plugs?

Are the headlight and indicator switches on the same switch block on the handlebars? ... is it clean inside?

I'd start with checking your grounds/earths. Probably on the headlight first (ie plug) and then your loom earth which could be loose.

i would undo the switch block and flood with contact cleaner, then retest. would then trace the black wire back to inside the headlight and see what it joins to. if ok then would contact clean every earth on the bike as it could be feeding back.ckeck colour coding of blinkers back to headlight housing.somewhere i believe there is a crossed wire or corrosion. where are you located?
