i am looking at a tdr with a engine that is locked i just thought i would be easier to just replace it with a running engine
Whether you use the existing engine or get another one it is safest to check it right over and replace all the seals. Check the power valves. Check the crank. Check the cylinder bore and piston clearance. If the clutch springs are too short then replace them with new xt225 springs which are a tad stiffer. The engines are simple to work on. Just be careful when you join the gearbox cases not to block the oil passages with the sealant.
