Have put extra driving lights on a few bike over the years. Most important thing is to add up the wattages of ALL lights and ignition, and not to exceed what the alternator can put out in watts.
With the modern LED type driving lights this should not be a problem.
You will need to run relay's to your lights to get the most current to the bulbs for best light.
Depending on what you want the lights to do (distance, side, etc) on where to mount. For distance ahead of the bike I like to mount about cylinder head hight to shine along the road. For spreading to sides (to see the wildlife) I would put them on handlebars/fairing.
