What started out as replacing a cam chain has turned into a top end rebuild along with carb strip and rebuild thanks to the previous owner of my poor FZR. If I had known how crap the job he had done was I wouldn't have ridden it at all. I now feel very sorry for my bike. But it has been restored to its former glory.

And now after 4 months (at least, I kinda lost track) I can ride it again, and it is now waaaaaayyyy quicker than it used to be. I reckon I've probably got another 5 hp out of it. So thanks heaps guys for all of the how to's and other advice. Hopefully I will be able to help some other poor bugger out when they buy a mistreated bike.

    Cheers,

    Hagen

That is great news - A bit of patience goes a long way and I am sure that you would have a fair bit of satisfaction doing it yourself..
