Well i was sitting and thinking what i can do to make my fzr unique so i thought of a hydrulic shock. that would be sweet. The shock i plan to use is a cbr f4 or f3 shock because they are cheap on ebay any objections? and please give reasons why.
will any one give me there thoughts <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="" title="Mad" /><!-- s --> is it a good idea or a bad one
I have no opinions actually. Since they would be adjustable you could make them softer (which would be required since the fzr is so much lighter/less powerful). can't think of any reason to do it. Can't think of any reason not to.
no. The bike has developed some problem and iam working hard to get it fixed before i do any mods. Used hydrulic shocks are cheap on ebay. i am planning to use a cbr f4i shock . i hope someone can do it and let me know how it works.
Just my 2 cents worth (that's US pennies): 1 I would check the distance from top mount (center-hole) to bottom (center-hole). 2 Diameter of mounting points (center-hole) 3 Width of mounts and of shock 4 Check the travel (distance the shock moves) 5 How the shock moves 6 Where the shock moves to and from. 7 Diameter of spring (will it hit the swing arm) ...and I can't think of any more right off, but I know I will before I have finished reading the forum. And all of this applies to both shocks, meaning take measurements while the shock is still on the bike and after the shock has been removed. A lot more needs to go into this than just "Will it fit?"
