Great condition, fantastic beginners bike or for someone looking for a reliable get around bike.

Roughly less than 1000k's since top end rebuild.

Registration till October, RWC can be supplied upon request, had a RWC and has done roughly 50k's since RWC and thats all so will pass straight away.

$3000 negotiable, want to get rid of it.

I wasn't asking for me - I was asking just to clarify and give other potentially interested people the answers before they ask the same question.

Nice bike; but where is the left hand side fairing?
If it's being sold as is, then you should mention something as significant as that.

left hand side fairing wasn't on in the photo because it was about 1 in the morning and the fairings were off at the time when I took the photo and I needed a photo taken and my mate was there with his digi cam so we placed the fairing on and took the photo. It comes with both fairings. If it didn't come with both fairings I WOULD have mentioned something as significant as that, but concidering it does come with both fairings I didn't mention it.

Not a problem. Just noticed it and felt it better to ask than assume... you never know if a potential buyer was looking at it thinking 'but it only comes with one fairing!'

I'll pass the word around cos it looks like a neat bike. Indeed, SOBIL... you reading this one???

Sure, $3k is over priced, I realise that, but i'm after $2000 now. The average price is about $3200. I didn't think it was too over priced, obviously it is. Thanks for the positive feedback in the thread guys.

5 years ago I sold one of them for $4800?? so your price is just about right...

hey

I have a female friend who has just got her L's and is looking for a bike. I'll let her know this one is here.

It's probably a bit blokey for her (she's a bit of a girly girl - wants a pink jacket and matching bike )... but I'm sure I can talk some reason into her.

I'll send you a PM for more detail, anyway.

Painting is relatively cheap - a couple hundred and it could be a girly-girls bike.

Hey people,
Im after my first bike. This one sounds alright and its in Melbourne near me. Is there a really big diffrence between a 2kr and a 3ln. For my first bike does it really matter???

The only real difference between the 2KR, 3LN-1 & 3LN-3 was the appearance. There were a few more minor changes such as changing the width of the rear tyre from 120 (2KR) to 130 (3LN), and the location and style of air and oil filters. Other than that; a 2KR uses fundamentally the same 1HX engine as the 3LN-3.

For a first bike, you should be comfortable with whatever you buy - that's the best advice i can give you. An FZR is a great bike to learn on, but it's certainly one of the 'sportier' of the 250's. Go for it!
