Hey Guys!

I'm happy to announce that I have completed my first big ride!
In all, the trip was approximately 570km long, it took me just over 7 hours due to lots of roadworks on the Hume Hwy and many stops for fuel.

It was a great challenge, it wasn't particularly uncomfortable and I had great weather for the trip. Boy did I sleep well that night

Cheers,
Shero.

Ok Shero, great stuff.. I thought it was just old age that made me tired after a long ride, but now I am convinced its the constant concentration required that wears you out.
I usually do a 3-400k ride every second weekend and afterwards I am asleep by about 9pm in front of the telly...

Got a long ride this weekend, Toy run - Burnie to Hobart (360k) and then back to the great lakes (140k) for the night then on home to Burnie (another 220k) on sunday. that makes about 720k for the weekend. Last year was in 35 deg heat, this year is looking a bit cooler (22 forecast) with some rain on sunday..

Yeah i think it's tiring for a number of reasons not just concentration. The heat is also a big factor it was around 30 degrees through out the ride. Also you're using a number of musles to keep you sitting up in your riding position. But it was great fun and thats what matters! I'd definately do it again

I've driven to syd plenty times here from Albury but will have to ride it one day soon, my longest ride to date was to Bathurst and back to Albury over a weekend.

That was tiring enough each way. though my lower back was a bit sore after each way.. but i feel you on the tiredness, im KO when i get home.
