    Hi,
Spring has arrived in Norway and I was preparing my RG250 for summer.
When changing the gear oil, I noticed the viscosity. It was thin as gasoline, and smelled like gasoline as well... Thinking back to last year I remember it smoked a lot even for a 2stroker. I refilled with 850cl of new oil and drove for about a 100km. Left it parked for about a week then drained out approx. 600cl of petrol-smelling oil. I assume that there I a leak between the crank case and gearbox.
Havve anyone had any similar experiences?

I've had 2strokes that drink gearbox oil, but not had any with petrol filling the gearbox.
Could there be a carb float needle leaking into the airbox and petrol then draining down through the gearbox breather into the oil (have had this happen with a 4stroke)? Maybe you could try disconnecting the airbox to gearbox tubes and see if you have petrol leaking out.

I agree with murdo. Check your needle and seat. Also the float setting.
