Came across this site recently and thought joining would be a good idea. Started with a FZR250 (2KR) in 2000, then went onto FZR1000. Have a acquired a little addiction for FZR400s. Want to race one in the future but want to set this up one as a decent road bike first. Took it to the Island in 2013 and had a ball. Didn't bin it! Had a tuning issue after the track day and got my hands on a litetek carby kit and it has made a huge difference. Still not 100% but a lot closer than what it used to be. Look forward to learning from everyone and prepping this bike for competition...one day...
Heres all the FZR resources .... https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByHbiu0yM2SGbEU1NGxnZmJDSmc&usp=sharing Have a look at our recent carby exploits with the 250s and it may help u fine tune yours.
More FZR's Yay!! I have a 3EN2 FZR 400. More than happy to answer any questions and share resources if you need
Welcome fellow 3TJ owner. The 250s have shown that needle and emulsion tube wear can be an issue. You can tell just by looking at the needles. I have a heap of docs at the bottom of my carb kit page. I guess you have already seen them though. I also have a genuine 3TJ1 manual supplement but it is in Japanese. Have not had time to scan it to pdf yet. cheers Blair
Got some time off yesterday and spent it on the bike. Was able to tune the carbs using my Carbtune and now it purrs. So happy. Got some real momentum now.
Good job Vinny Well let's add a pic to the postcards page. http://www.litetek.co/postcards.html There are no 3TJ's on there you will be immortalised
