The Bike:
1988 2kr FZR250 (VGC both mechanically and cosmetically)
41000kms
2nd owner after compliance (1997)

Bike's Story:

Just moved to Adelaide from Brisbane for work, getting bike SA registered (3 mths rego). Bike has been regurarly serviced, and is in very good condition for its age. Obtained a road worthy certificate in Brisbane from my purchase.

Pros:- Looks great, mechanically A1, recently serviced, very fast, rides great, near new tires, no smoke or leaks
Cons:- One crack in fairing (minor), and, a few scratches here and there.

Reason for selling:
Buying house next year, getting rid of all riding equipment also. Currently only being riden on weekends.

Price:
Will consider ALL offers over $2000 (If purchased pre-registration). If purchase price above $2200 will throw in a near new stand, boots, and alpine sports SP3 gloves. If you want a helmet, make me an offer on that too.

Email: DamoInAdelaide@gmail.com or 0420455583 for questions

Test rides are welcome only on "you drop it you pay for it" basis.

Not really. I've yet to have a problem with it. Even when the bike was shipped from Brisbane to Adelaide, taking 4 weeks by rail!!!, it only needed one push start to get going again. These FZRs are amazing for the money!

I notice you're in NSW, does your brother live in Adeliade?

Update

Upon attempting to transfer rego to SA, i've been rudely made aware that my QLD rego ran out only a few days ago. Really don't have time or motivation to take the bike to regency park. Have dropped price for rego costs.

Cheers.

All that has to be done is to have it inspected so engine / chassis number will be needed to prevent any hassles.

You can do this on Sturt Rd on Wednesdays / Thursdays ONLY if you want to avoid Regency.

You can also get a permit to ride it in for the day.

So, inspection costs $25 (paid with rego) and permit is around ~$40.

Really? Had no idea it was that simple.
OK, i'll probably get that done in the next couple of weeks then. Can Regency do it Saturdays?

Price still holds until i get the rego. So if anyone want sto buy it cheap, i won't go back on my price drop.

Cheers.

That's an absolute bargain price for what looks like a very well kept bike!
I'll pass this one onto a friend who recently moved to Adelaide and is shopping around for a bike. Only thing is she's after something naked, but i'll just tell her it's a supermodel with clothes on.
