anyone know if there is any difference in the heads of an fzr to an fzrr seeing i have to replace a head gasket and normally with an alloy head it has to be machined so i thought i'd see what specs are and do the head to fzrr specs if they are different, as i have spare head and cams i'll do those b4 i strip the motor down,

obviously by the amount of response the engine specs are the same, so what is the difference btween the Fzr and Fzrr? must be the decals on the fairings, anyway decided to take time with motor and split costs btween the Fzr250 and XV750 Virago that i am restoring, only hope I can get my money back when i sell the 250

    Hey Jonny,

No. They are not the same. FZR (called the 2KR) has a different head amongst other things. The FZRR is called a 3LN. They do have a lot of duplicate parts but the head is not one of them.
