As I have got my P's test coming up in 2 weeks I was wondering what you guys think I should do the test on, (this applies to riders in australia)
I can either do it on the FZR or hire a bike for about $140
I have been getting a mixed response from the people I have asked about it.

If you were doing it in victoria I would suggest your fzr - there would not be any issues. However, given that in NSW there are tests like the figure 8 I am not too sure. I assume it would be possible on the fzr, but perhaps another bike would be easier. Then the other side of the coin - you will obviously be more comfortable on the fzr and thus will that compensate for another bike being technically easier?

In short - I have no idea. Good luck non-the-less though!

I recommend using your FZR is you have practiced enough on it then do it on that cause if you do it on the CB 250 you ll have to adjust to the different type of riding style which could make things seem harder then they are. If you havent had enough practice on the FZR then maybe hire the CB 250.. takes an hour or so to get adjsuted then you can turn with ease!!!!

Hey Guys, I did my p's test on the weekend on my FZR and I passed.
I practiced the U turn and the cone weave for about an hour or two on the weekend before the test. So for all you guys on your L's I recomend practicing the turns and stuff then saving the bike hire cost ($140) and do it on your own bike. T minus 12 months and counting.

    Congrats.

I should book in for mine soon - once I get the side fairings finished I think.

    Where did you do it?

Anyone know whether there is a practice course marked out at Loftus or anywhere nearby? Either that, or I'll set up some witches hats myself in the specs as listed on the RTA website on the MOST.

I did the test at Clyde (Grandville)

I recomend using chalk to mark the course out if you need to, that way you dont have to set the witches hats up if you knock them over.

I practiced in an office building's car park while it was empty on a weekend.
