    tappet cover gasket and iridiums ordered. do not know shape of original air filter so can wait till i get over tamwoth, ag quip and friends.

    Found it
    Top outside diameter is 117mm, inside diameter is 52mm
    Centre mesh diameter is 88mm
    Bottom outside diameter is 102mm, inside diameter is 52mm
    Total height is 105mm, including a 2.5mm raised ring around each end in the centre
    Top ring has a foam seal on the unederside as does the bottom

    I have a complete 2KR engine and a few part's like carby's, filter and airbox, radiator etc sitting here as spare's atm.
    I pretty sure i can find you another filter though, the wrecker's up the road should have a used one, they have 2x 2KR's
    I'll ask and let you know how much, cheap i'm guessing though

    Sounds the same ... I just 'washed' my 3LN one in hot soapy water and put it in the sun to dry ... been in there for years now

    I was just looking on ebay and found someone was selling a Uni Filter for a FZR400 that also fit's a FZR250
    Might be worth asking these seller's the dimension's ?

    Did you check the filter diameter's with the seller's ?
    There was a thread here somewhere that had fzr250 2kr filter's and fzr400 filter's and i cant remember if they were the same.

    Thought buying new would be a lot cheaper and easier than using a secondhand filter and modifying and replacing the paper part of the element etc
