FZR250 3LN3 Original Jet Sizes

    Hi all,

    I have a 91 3LN3 wait for it...with issues ha ha
    The bike starts and runs, poorly, it won't rev past 14k on the road and often will stall when coming to a stop.
    The annoying part is, I rode it on Wednesday after moving the clips on the needles up to the top of the needles and it ran like a dream! Two days later it now runs like poo.

    I know the two middle carbs are supposed to be tuned differently but are they to be richer or leaner?

    Also what are the original jet sizes?

    Was It running ok up to 14k before you moved the clips?

    No unfortunately, I moved the clips because i wanted to lean out the mixture a little. This solved the flooding a little bit but I'm pretty sure the jets are too large. I can't find the standard jet sizes anywhere. The link you provided for me, are they 2kr carb specs or 3ln?

    I notice you're in Ipswich, we should catch up I live in 'the switch' too.

    Ok, I have a spare set of carbs here that you are free to pull apart and look at.

    I don't know what one it is for.

    Yeah sounds good, send me a PM of where you are.

    Pilot Jet - 10
    Main Jets - 100, 97.5, 97.5, 100
    Needles - Set on the middle clip.

    Runs sweet as on my 3ln3 with the stock airbox and filter. You could also probably run her with 102.5 and 100 size mainjets. I think thats what the 2kr uses from memory...
