anyone know what the fuel pump pressure should be on the 250 and if there is an adjustable pump available to fit, still having problems with flooding so am looking for an adjustable pump where i can decrease pressure and maybe eliminate the flooding problem, thanx ( i can only hope)

The stock pump is about 1.5 psig. If you have significant flooding, I'd inspect the float valve needles and seats. Replacements can be had from the aftermarket vendors (use the parts for a FZR1000) for a LOT less than from Yamaha.

well looks like i am going to have to run the bike minus the pump, i have replaced the needle and seats, o/rings, do you know the size of the needles for the 1000 the 250 is 1.0 all i could get here is 1.5 from a jet ski service, but the float should still be able to shut it off unless the previous owner had been playing around with the floats. i got the bike august last year and have only about 5 hours of riding on it only couple hundred ks maybe <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->
