So picked up race glass of Ali need some minor things but will be good start, get them started in week or 2 Oh could someone move this to projects
Will you be making any copies? I know it is an expensive process, but *touching wood* should you have a down, and damage anything, you'll be stuck without a set. After all, these sets aren't easy to come by as far as I know. Have you decided which bike your using yet?
Yer I'm gonna use rego one as track and use spares bike as spares!! Gonna have a crack at making moulds and my own also talking to simon cbr rear piece fits fzr and gonna see if rest can be mod to fit as it would be easier but will sort something out Making mould and that doesn't seem to be to expensive
wax, wax and wax----at least 10 times ,spray with toolong gelcoat, glass and glass. mould now made. secure in frame to resist warping. wax agin and agin, gelcoat, layer of satin to hold gelcoat together and glass to thickness required.woven is stronger than chopped strand.wax mould between jobs.spend time to get mould perfect as that is the secret to a good job.time consuming but worth it. wear respirator as resin can send you sterile. am not joking. gloves to be worn too.
Think tomorrow sort the stand cable try and mock up fairings but back tail seems not to fit well so might have to get tail off SimonSimon
Mate if you have a spare rear seating subframe use it to strip some weight, cut off all lugs ect that's not needed. Also a suggestion, relocate your overflow bottle to the front where your headlight used to be....safer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yer was thinkin of doing that on spare bike also bottle won't fit there as the front fairing tight fit
The nose where it mounts on mirror holes is short can only get one hole lined up found a guy who makes them in vic 155 bucks with a screen he thinks someone has sat something on them and distorted them might be able to pull up
