    the other day i quickly fitted my mates g-tech meter to my bike (3LN FZR) and was dissapointed to find i could only get 16.3 quarter mile times out of it! anyway, went to the motorbike place.. $15 later i had a 16 tooth front sprocket (17 is standard), just put it on tonight... seemed to make a little difference and will be putting it back on maybe this weekend to see the difference... dunno if anyone cares, just some useless info i guess!!

    16.3 seconds quater mile??? That doesn't sound right..Sandog here reckons the fzr does around the 12-13.

    I don't know about a stock, or even a semi-stock 250 getting into the 12's. The newest FZ-6 only does 11.53. Maybe the really high 12's, but 13-14 sounds more like it.

    Yeah true....But I guess the difference between 11.5 and 12.5 is huge...

    I'm thinking about 14-15s. I read once the FZR 250 to 0 - 100 in 4.5 secs.. my bike is more like 4.5 minutes <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_roll.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling LoL" /><!-- s:roll: -->

    I think we should each run our fzr on the quater mile and post our results

    i only said high 12's coz of what ssomeone posted here once. Im 90kg and as a rough guestimate took me 15 sec from memory over 1/4 mile. (mind you this was measure using the odometer in the car over a long stretch of road and counting (1 cat dog 2 cat dog 3 cat dog) so it wasnt as thogh timing was critical, hahahaha

    I hear you. 2 or 3 of the guys over on the Brotherhood dragrace their 1000's. Turning low 10's across the country. About 75% of dragracing is getting off the line. The other 25% is how well your bike is put together.

    Over here in the states, I can find nothing on the FZR250. A shame too, cause I'd like to have one.

    reasonable...williamstown bike club did one last week..I think it was like 140 bucks for the whole day! So u could just come off and go on anytime u wanted.

    I think broadford track is a little nicer for beginners as well..as theres not as many fast corners etc.
