thanks dude, I have to admit its my wifes bike - not that she works on it or cleans it much. I do the work and she pays our daughter to clean it!

Here are some pics of my ride when we bought it, when we got it going, and now when its painted.

This one is when we rolled it off the trailer...

There is another pic somewhere I have to find where my bike had the 3LN-1 fairing on it. This one is after that one...

Well to be honest, to get the white and red scheme to look good, it would have been a lot harder than the blue to get it to look good. My wife and I did all that at home too, so it was very rewarding to have it turn out the way it is now. Also the red and white ductail fairings and tank I still have cause at the time we bought a second FZR with good panels so we used them. And as for the blue, I just prefer blue, but thats just me.

As I have said, I just have a white yamaha logo on the tank atm (in my avatar), but plan on getting the big yamaha for the bottom of each side. Also, a large FZR (original) sticker for the top of side panels and the small yamahas for above the headlight and tail light. I am a believer of less is more, so I reckon it would look good. I'm not a fan of the R2 schemes, so don't even go there

Thanks,
Chris

Sheepdog, the carbon exhaust was on the bike when we got it so not sure where its from and it has no markings on it at all, but it get through the MOT ok even though it sounds like a wailing banshee when its going well!!

My fzr piccies

Ok,i took a few pics of my fzr so here they are.
Since i bought the bike at the beginning of march ive cleaned and de-greased every part of it(only place for grease/oil is on the chain),i hate a dirty bike.
Fitted new mini indicators with clear lenses, new gold x-ring chain and new sprockets, replaced all screen/fairing/engine bolts/oil cap/clutch cable adjuster with new purple anodised aluminium items.Ive also now fitted a brand new set of original white fzr250 mirrors(not pictured)which i was lucky enough to win on ebay for a good price(the old mirrors were heavily scuffed). The bike is now pretty much as near new as i can make it which is the way i like em.I may fit braided brake lines in the future.
She has 24k on the clock and runs great pulling cleanly up to the 18'500 redline in every gear, great power for a little two fiddy!
