Just got the everything back together and when running the idle is very inconsistent and sensitive to adjustment. An eighth of a turn on the idle speed adjustment screw is the difference between 5k rpm and stalling it. When twisting the throttle it usually will climb in revs to a point and then stay there even when the throttle is released. Occasionally, the twisting the throttle will do absolutely nothing. Took everything apart to clean it originally and have taken the CV carb slides out and cleaned them thoroughly twice with no change. Also had a spare diaphragm slide assembly and tried that also with no change.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My first guess would be too lean on the mixture screws or an air leak in the manifold rubbers.
