thank you very much hello my name is Daniel and I own a Megelli 250 r I'm very happy with it. but I need mechanical manuals to get their hands on it myself
zongshen has a chinese engine manual if you can find it and understand it. the motor or similar version is in a crossfire bike.the company in australia went belly up.
vbeautiful exhaust sound and they run into the redline well. not suitable to race though as tooooo slow.
ok, tappett settings- inlet ...6 thou, exhaust....8 thou, oil filter on rhs- wash in petrol and re use,air filter- wash in kerosene, ring out and dry then re use.plug is ngk -9 but can use an 8.oil i use is 10-40 semi synthetic. headlight bulb you need an original for focal length and headlites are crap.if you value your life change the original tyres.hope this helps.
welcome aboard mate...many years ago I had a Fantic.....Italians make the best motorbikes but they are never the same with their manuals.
No offence Risky but Danycom is probably not a native speaker of English. Valve clearances inlet: 0.006 inches Valve clearances exhaust: 0.008 inches The oil filter is on the right hand side. You can wash it in petrol and reuse. The air filter you can wash in kerosene, wring out, dry and reuse. The heat range of the spark plug is NGK 9 but you can use an 8 For oil I use a 10-40 semisynthetic. For the headlight bulb you need to use the original part for correct focal length. The headlights are not very good. The original tires are dangerous. cheers Blair
i figured if he could write english he could speak it.good point though.the other thing is english ebay has parts for the 125 which is the same frame and only difference is motor size.
Megelli Motorcycles are designed and engineered in the UK using new bespoke tooling for the majority of components with final assembly in China. ill get me coat.
megelli were designed by barry hall???? and later sold to japanese who onsold to zongshen who built and assembled them. tyres are chinese and durable but nasty in wet.motor is zongshen and early motors were fragile and while the lc motors were better they had a habit of the right hand side crankcase fracturing internally.also problems with the starter over run clutch. last model imported was 14 bikes and they outperformed the race bikes built by motorsport importers.most bikes were lucky to get out of warranty before needing repairs. i have 2 registered, one with a chinese hand built special motor and one standard and have 2 wrecked ones for spares!!!basically a nice sound but rest is suspect.
mate,i luv the sound and mine enjoy the redline.they also have trouble picking up neutral. honda,s are far more reliable.handle and break better and go harder. the megelli motor was based on a single cylinder honda but lacks the quality.
Hi Risky, Grandson bought a 250R Megelli, starter gear has lost teeth, do you know where we can source, managed to get a starter from crossfire motor cycles no luck as yet on the gear. any suggestion's would be appreciated.
friend, before you even buy a 2nd hand starter i would take off the clutch cover and to do it you need to remove exhaust, tank, other stuff to lift motor up to get at one bolt on side cover.inside from the starter are 2 idler gears. they can cause the crank case to crack. i had a motor replaced under warranty.if the case is cracked then 2 choices-new motor or new rhs case and cost of dissassembly and re assembly. basically design fault and later zonshen motors used a case with more webbing.i think that is why your starter gear has gone. starter gear is part of armature shaft. look at nmegelli starter from "crossfire direct"- 149 oz dollars plus postage.hate to think how much to urugay. try contacting zongshen direct in china.
