Hi all, Just getting the GSXR250 ready for the Island Classic at Phillip Island and have run into a little snag. When I pulled the pipes off I found that there are only 6 collars (two pipes had one collar each). So, I need 2 collars. I can order them from O/S but they won't get here by the 24th of January. Suzuki back order 2-3 weeks, so does anyone have any of these I can buy off you? I have logged a findapart request, so might be able to source from wreckers, but thought I'd ask the forum just in case. The Suzuki part number for the collars is 14155-04A00. Thanks Frank
That is an important part and you are right to get them before you hit the track. If you can't find one in time you could have it made. Turn the collar on a lathe then cut it into two pieces. You could use stainless and they will be a better part than the original. Bike builders and racers just have to have a handy local who can do machine shop work for them

Don't know if that part would be the same as what's on my bandit (GJ74A) but if you get stuck you can borrow for your race and send back, I'm only across town. I'm considering parting that one out anyway if my mechanic-ish mate can't get it going.
Hey Stu, Thanks for the offer. I've just been contacted by a wrecker who has some and I'm going tomorrow to get them. I'd be keen to come over one day and have a look at the bike that won't run to see if there's anything I might be able to add. Once again, thank you for your offer. Also, I'm waiting for the long-range weather forecast before trying to organise a ride to the Island next weekend. I'll post tomorrow or Sunday if the weather is favourable. Cheers Frank
