When I got my across the previous owner had installed a hi lo HID headlight which was all good untill either the bulb blew or the ballast ignighter failed. I researched these kits and they are supose to use the existing plug that goes into the back of the bulb. That plugs into the balast and from there a harness goes to the HID bulb. So all being good you should be able to disconect the plug from the harness and use a standard bulb to get you out of trouble. But my problem is the origonal plug seems to be missing. I have traced the wireing back into the harness behind the headlight. Would this be where the plug should be? The wireing job is very amature there seems to be bits of wire going everywhere taped up with different sized conectors.
My question is does the headlight plug come from the harness directly behind the headlight and how will I know which wires go where?

on the sets i have there are 2 wires with spade plugs...1 red, 1 black. these were for a single beam so if you have a hi/lo set up i would look for 3 wires.connector to old bulb was probably cut off and connectors[spade or reverse] crimped on.

Yep that plug is gone I need to replace that with new conectors. Is the standard bulb a h4 with 3 pins?
