Hehe, come on dude, it's not that long a story , I could have dragged it out heaps more but then it would have been *real* boring .

Amazing how many people have read that story in the last month since it was posted on an "interesting" site

Madmick, its great that you are able to tell the story, was deeply touch! and not in a sexual way You have a great humour with such a painful happening.. all i can say is i too got charged for negligent driving , i crash my bike.. and still cannot remember it to how i did it. i paid the fine and almost lost my licence.. did some medical tests to get it back from the rta..some coppers can be real dicks, not all thats for sure! Anyhows besides all that.. u left me on the edge, wantin to know the end.. but i understand so its cool and make it up.. that u live happy ever after!

Didn't realise you were that MadMick! I read that story a few weeks ago as it was passed around. I certainly felt for you, and also hope that you do run into that truck driver one day!

Gidday Dean

Hehe, I'm happy to hear that

Only thing that kept me going mate, a warped, wicked sense of humour [IMG]

Certainly not, some of my best mates are coppers, in fact it was NSW HP Bike cops that gave me my nickname , I was all set to join them when I had my acco.

As for the end to the story, I might put that in writing soon, IDGAF about the RTA anymore anyway, but to cut it short, the RTA paid my legal fees and that was it, the medical and ongoing cost came out of my pocket.

Live happy ever after, dunno bout that mate, but with a woman that stuck by me during all that ****, and then some, two lovely daughters, what else could a bloke ask for

yeah have to agree with the others, thought id link to the story coz there is probably something we could all get out of it. Unfortunately, for the truck drver anyway, the feelin that everyone gets is to knock his block off if they ever come across his sorry arse in the street.Hopefully when you get your bike you can come n do the great ocean road ride with the melb boys!

Hey Madmick,
Hows it going? Good to see that youve overcome such a horrific accident and have come out on top with high spirits!
Putting your story up for us was a great thing to do. We all think we know the risks everytime we get on a bike but its not till we hear a story like yours till we realise the reality of it all. Thats when it really hits home.

Its a pity the RTA got off so lightly, but as you said, you have a wonderful woman that stuck with with you and 2 daughters and plenty of toys!!!! hahaha

Good to see you will ride again.
As for me, i dont think id have the balls for it after that, hehe

P.S Just out of curiosity, have u got a photo of the truck driver? email me a copy and i will be glad to give him a good flogging for ya, hahahahah

Hi BigKev

Thanx for the support mate, actually thanx to all you guys .

Mate, that was the main reason for putting the story in writing, so many young guys (yes I know most of you could be my kids ) think they are super rider and indestructible, but **** happens when you least expect it.

I had been on many rides where I probably should have come off, done all the silly things we do but was lucky and that's it, you can only push your luck so far. My only grace was actually learning to ride really well before doing the silly stuff, most young blokes I know don't.

As for having the balls to ride again, it's like anything else, falling off a horse, having a car acco, falling out of a tree, you just do it mate, other wise you might as well lie down and give up.

Hehe, yeah mate, I have his picture, I dare say he would have changed somewhat after all these years, but I'll remember him if I see him. Thanx for the offer, but I feel that pleasure is reserved just for me
