    Hey guys

My headlights stopped working a couple of days ago.
Everything else on the bike is running completely normal, its just the headlights, they will not turn on at all even when i switch to high beam.

So far I have checked that the battery was charged up, I checked it was plugged in properly, i got new bulbs, i checked the main fuse and had a quick look over the wiring to check for any melted spots.
But unfortunately they still aren't working. Im not sure what else it could be, i don't know enough about the electrics to figure it out.

Any tips on what else i can try would be awesome!

    Thank you!

try connecting your new bulbs directly to a battery just to make sure they do work, from there id be testing every point from the battery to the headlight to see where the fault is

    do you have a multimeter?

If you've checked your main fuse, did you check your headlight fuse?

Next try the headlight switch, spray a bit of WD40 in there to see if it cleans up the contactors a bit.

Lastly, as it looks like you've done most of the other bits (battery, bulbs, fuses, loom inspection) the next part would be to check the relay (see above). They're mostly the same to test if you have a multimeter and some sort of 12v battery (and a few wires). A reference video would be something like this:

    Hope it helps :)

Hey thank you, yes i had checked all of the fuses in the junction box as well.

where abouts is the headlight switch? do you mean the highball/lowbeam switch?

I thought I had checked the headlight relay, but looking at this diagram it was probably the high beam relay.

Ill go and check the headlight relay now :D

    thanks!

I checked the headlight relay, and I would have to say thats the problem, can't hear a click when I connect it up to the battery.

    thanks guys :)
