Former SRX250 owner, just got another!... And XT250, DR200 and R3
G'day from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I appreciate the resources here!

    Bikes we currently own:
    1987 Yamaha SRX250
    2017 Yamaha R3
    2007 Suzuki DR200
    2017 Yamaha XT250

(Apparently the year has to end in a 7 for me to own it now!?)

Have owned....20+ bikes over the last 20 years...Getting more back into bikes the last year or so, bought everything except the R3 in the last 6 months. The XT and DR will stay at our cabin in a rural area, and the SRX and R3 will stay at our main place in the city.

My wife had an SRX250 in the past, maybe 2007-2014ish. I sold it when I got frustrated with the lack of reliability we had at the time with intake, carb, parts availability, etc. Figured we'd eventually find something newer for her. We've had a few small bikes since, (she's 5'1", or 155cm) and eventually concluded that she still missed the SRX250....and many of the newer small displacement street bikes aren't physically smaller. The R3 for example still has a relatively wide stance... the KTM Duke 200 still has a high seat height... and she's not interested in the Indian Scout...
So, we started looking for an SRX250 again, and found a good one. Picked it up a few weeks ago, 3800 miles on it, and we're now the 3rd owners.

Seems some of the common problems have more workarounds now... with the XT/TT350 boots available on ebay, etc. So I'm feeling more confident about this one! And REALLY appreciate the resources available on the site here.... Fantastic to be able to see the wiring diagram, etc!

Anyway, looking forward to sharing more about our SRX, fixes, parts, etc...and maybe a bit about the XT..

    -Nate
