hey guys,
im actually translating the fzr250 japanese manual --> to english !!!
i dont know why im doing it, but seems like someone has to ....
after 23-24 years of publication, and still no english version, i find it very annoying..

i need some help please.

im into the carburator section (specification grid)

i got the type, main jet,needle-jet,pilot jet values, all seems fine so far.

the word that im not able to translate properly is the following : パイロットスクリュ段 レ回X

lollllllll....hehehe

ok, now it means: pilot screw section X
the X is a unknown kanji (jap. symbol)
and the value for this word is : "3" there is no %, mm, or any real informative value next to it.

im trying to compare to the fzr400 manual, but i guess im not that good in mechanics, that's why i lack some knowledge.
might it be the number of pilot screws, or something similar, i don't even know what a pilot screw is loll
does it makes any sense to somebody ???

Thank YOU.

P.S: Allready done the Chapter 1 ,(general informations).
i will start posting them section by section as i finish them, so everyone can benefit from it...

P.S-2 : i made some slight enhancement to the fzr400 manuals, the pdf's are no longer images .jpg, so u can search for related words inside the document, wish makes it faster to search for specific terms.
fzr400 manuals will be posted this week, and the manuals section should be updated by the administrator.

Pilot screws are normally given as "turns out from fully in"; most of the FZRs are 3 turns out from fully in, so this makes sense. You might add a note to JUST touch the screw to the bottom, as cranking into the seat will damage both the seat and needle, doing bad things to the ability of the needle to control mixture.

This is Hero's Work you're doing here - thank you! How much will you be selling these manuals for? (and don't say 'nothing'; we've been searching for such things for YEARS as you well know. Your time is valuable, and this will be a sought-after commodity!)

Thank you for you advice ! really appreciate it....
believe it or not, im spending over 14 hours a day trying to figure out those japanese symbols :p
and about the manual prices, im not really into making money ,i simply see it as an investment for the community ;)

P.S: maybe Yamaha will be interested hehehe

STUCK AGAIN :S
the word in japanese is ペンナュリ口径
unfortunately it only leads me to the following translation: Pennayuri caliber
the sentence is correct, and not missing anything.

entry posted in the Carburetor specifications section --> the value for this word in "3"
any guess what that might be ?
thanks !

I agree with Don. It's not about you getting rich out of it, but let's say we might turn into a donation for this site. I am sure Dave has some cost with running the site and paying hosting fees somewhere.

I wish I could help you with the translation ....
