Hi thanks for letting join here is some photos of my new bike i found laying in a shed about two hours out of darwin it had not moved in about ten years but it had only 17,000 genuine kays on it so for $500 bucks i grabbed it a new sparkplug fresh tank of fuel and recharged the battery it fired and ran like a clock freed up the brakes and took it for ride to darwin and back yesterday 250km round trip never missed a beat and heaps of fun to ride
Welcome to the forum. Nice find with your Honda, by the sound of it a very good deal to boot! $500 is a steal, bike looks to be in pretty good condition. As always, enjoy the ride.
Bike looks in good shape The only thing I would have a close look at are the tyres if its sat for that long ....they may have tread but they will be very old ..... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/tyre-information.1115/ Also when u can I would bleed out the old brake fluid as well
thanks for the comments i anybody in knows a good motorbike wrecker i am looking for a r/h mirror and windscreen but its always the small things bleed the brakes gave it a full service last night/this morning took it for nice dawn ride now got leaking fork seals so this weekend guess i am rebuilding the forks all part of the fun
nice little cbx, i got a '87 canadian import, i think, it's got other indicators, simpler rear suspension , no belly-pan and no fuel indicator, bought it a few years ago for 150 euros with 48k km's on the clock, i use it as my daily commuter and it never let me down apart from a broken clutch cable (used the one from my cb250rs and presto we're on the road again) Could you let me know what kind of fork seals you use 'cause the right one is starting to leak a bit and it's hard to find any chassis-data for my little thumper. Thanks a bunch and keep the black stuff down
