    Hi,
I am the proud new owner of a 1980 Honda CB 250 rs, she is a project bike that I fell in love with and am excited to get back on the road, there are a few cosmetic problems.
But ... time is on my side and mechanically the bike is pretty sound. I was looking for the original shop manual when I came across this website. So Hi to you all feel free to introduce yourself, I have owned a couple bikes over the years starting on a little Yamaha mx80 when I was a child, I had a Honda CB250N for a few years in my twenties. Now I just want to potter on an old bike and give her a second lease on life. Cheers

    :welcome:

I grew up on the back of my mum's CB250RS.

I have 3 of them now - one I had registered and running last year and rode all the way up to Tamworth from Canberra. Even made it back again!

Looks like all she needs is a set of repro decals and some clear-coat on top of those!

I have a nice set from eBay - let me know if you want the seller's details.

    Looking good!

As another proud owner of a 1980 CB250RS, I just can't understand why some reviews of the bike criticised the styling.

I think the simplicity of the shape perfectly matches the simplicity of the mechanical design.

I have read that the later version that was tarted up with fancy stripes and colours didn't sell as well as the earlier version like yours and mine.. Maybe that means I am not the only one that appreciates simplicity.
