The dash says 70k but its off a different bike, apperently its closer to 50k

Hey how do the bikes handle when they're around the clock? I never knew they could last that long, is that common? Or do they tend to be on their last legs, about to collapse...

All depends on how well they are looked after. Admittedly, it is rare to have a 250 at 100 000 + k's as most tend to be thrashed by learners (who also tend to forget routine maintenance). Bigger bore bikes will (should) last longer of course.

I have 51,200k on the clock. I don't know if that is genuine or not. But it still runs sweet and doesn't blow smoke, thats the main thing.

A workmate has a CBR1000 with 140,000k genuine, he has had it from new and only ever had to do normal servicing.

I have had FZR250s in my garage with... as far as I could tell genuane 70K - 90K.. they were running like spring cheaken on steroids (good) and as far as I could tell these bikes were still on original carbs and defenately original engines... futher more none of them did't need any thing more than a regular service...

On the other hand I have seen bikes (also looking genuane) with as little as 30K... some of them were SO mistreated their engines, suspention and carbs needed rebuilding and tuning...

How on earth did you manage that?
The only way i could do that is if my bike was in the shop or off the road for 8 & 1/2 months of that 9!
