just wondered if anyone had any ideas cos i got offered £900 for it as it is now. its not in great shape becasue of the electric problem, and some little shits pinched a few of the faring bolts (who steals bolts!?) and my mum didnt tell me that she made the gate narrower and i snapped a wingmirror off. lol. but appart from that its all sound. new tyres (not even worn the pips off yet!) new breaks and compleat oil change just done. the fairing is even pretty pretty unscratched, suprising seeing as its last owner was an idiot. he fell off it and somhow only managed to scrape one of the casings and handlebar end and somhow the swingarm. lol. anyways. £900 good deal or not? i payed £550 for it. should i sell and buy my friends vfr400 with full tyga kit... or should i keep it and enjoy 250ness?
Well look at it this way, the fzr is a great learner bike but you will outgrow it soon. Once you ride a bigger bike you will see what I mean. My first ride on a bigger bike was a mate's Harley 1340cc and 320kg, a monster of a thing. but getting back on the FZR afterwards made me realise that there are better things in life. Like POWER, and lots of it. Keep this in the back of your mind when you are thinking "will I sell, or not"
iv been on a few bigger bikes on track and iv been on big trials.. power is allways good. but seeing as i have another year until i can ride anything with real power im stuck with a restricted bike. i do love my fzr... i find it much more fun on the track than the sport 600s and 900s iv ridden i can go into just about any corner at just about any speed! but living in england parts are very hard to get hold of. looks like im gonna keep hold of it for the next year at least anyway. im slowly working my way through the problems it had. im about to start putting more fuses in the wiring to make it easyer to find any problems i get. and im working on a design for a new fairing. =] i'll post it on here if i decide to make it. just a bit busy at the moment.
if i were you id keep it my FZR was my first road bike and although the big bikes are fun i miss the little thing, i see it and get to have a ride most weekends but its not the same. so id say keep it!!!!!!
