Any ideas what bike model this came out of?

It came with a few spare bits and pieces thrown in with a bike I bought a while ago. Angle of the lobes suggests a camshaft for some type of twin perhaps? Have never come across anything like it before.

Something with radially angles valves and cam gear drive, but no idea otherwise.

Ok, looks to be from a Howard rotary hoe engine, either an 8 or 12 HP model V twin. Made from the late 1920's to the early 1950's. Put it on Gumtree/ebay as people are looking for these bits.

Well there you go . Thank you people. There may well be a better use for it than a paper weight or scrap!
