Ok something weird is going on with my bike. At idle my 2kr runs on 3 cylinders, but anything above idle it runs on 4 cylinders.
My dad is a mechanic by trade and a motorcycle guru and its got him stumped because we've cleaned the carbys completely, twice!

any advice would be helpful

First up I would check the carb balance. That means the airflows in each carb are all equal at idle when balanced. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=673

Then check idle mixture screw adjustment

Secondly, Also check valve clearances are within spec ( fairly easy job ).

I'd also check the ignition. My bike wasn't running nicely on all cylinders all of the time and it turned out that one of the leads wasn't holding the spark plug properly so it would only fire every now and then. That plus a carb tune has got it running mint.
