My indicators light up but they do not flash. Can anyone explain how to check and solve the problem?

    Thanks

    1) Have you changed the lamps - they need to be the proper wattage, 12v 10w each to be precise. A wrong lamp will cause problems.

    2) Check the earth connections of the lamps - i.e. corrosion in the lamp sockets or the wiring connections

    3) If all else fails, replace the flasher unit. Make sure that the new flasher is designed to work with 10 watt lamps before buying.

    Hope that helps

    Hi LMK,

Follows Daves advice, but hold the flasher unit in your hand as you apply the indicators. The flasher unit should pulse in your hand. If it doesn't it is probable stuffed. You can pull them apart if you wanted to. But any flasher unit from the wreckers should fit just take the old one with you to compare which one would be best to buy. Keep in mind that these are delicate.
