    Hi guys,

Everytime carburetors are installed (After coming from another bike) or opened do they need balance and synchronizing (Even if they were already done from another bike)?

I'm getting very high or low idle, it just won't sit in between and when it does and i give it abit of throttle the throttle sticks (Revs freely at 3000rpm-4000rpm and very slowly goes down or randomly revs higher. I've even sprayed lots of WD40 but it doesn't seem stuck, i took airbox off and turned carbs around to have a closer look, nothing seems out of place.

I've looked for kinks in cable and there is none, everything seems secured. I've been only using the carb adjustment screw (black screw on side) and the screw that pushes down on the gold throttle lever.

Removed the handle grip altogether so it can't be there.

This morning i started it again to give it another go and realized there was fuel pissing out of carbs, so i quickly removed it and saw it drain from the tiny hole on the side of the bottom of the carb. What would cause this? Too much fuel on idle? But it seems that it's too low or way too high.

A possible thing i'm thinking of is the float height (I don't know how to adjust it, i've researched it and it seems i need to just bend the tab up or down, i've looked at the service it says 20.5mm +/- 1mm, i don't even know where to measure from where to where. The weird thing is i already rode in it 2days ago fine and it didn't seem to have any weird issues.

    Howdy,

If you havent solved it already, then yeah generally its best to balance after playing around with the carbs, its a quick job so why not! (if you have the tools obviously)

High idle and crap running is definitely a cause of poor balance so do that first of all. If it still does it with the carbs sync'd up then its probably running super lean and youll need to adjust the idle mix screws (gold ones nex to the choke cables on the engine side of the carbs)

Fuel pissing out of the carb overflow - Theres crap wedged between the needle and seat inside the carb. take em off and remove the bowls. Clean them things out really well and change your fuel lines + filter. or put a filter in there if you dont have one now.

Theres plenty of guides on the net and if your still stuck i can upload a picture guideĀ  :D

P.S. i wouldnt touch the float heights, the floats are really solidly made and i cant see how they could be out unless somehow has gone and mutilated them beforeĀ  :o
